In honor of World Mental Health day, we were inspired to talk about some of the positive shifts we’ve seen around the way that we treat mental health. This fantastic illustration series from Buzzfeed exemplifies some of the differences between the ways in which we have traditionally treated physical illnesses versus mental ones.
Fortunately, we’re starting to see these attitudes change. In the Truth about Wellness, we saw that consumers are becoming increasingly aware and focused on the value of their mental health. 1 in 2 regularly do exercises to improve their brain health, and 1 in 5 meditate every month.
